Crack the code

Need to while away some time at the airport? Try this. But be warned, it is addictive.

Stacey and Tristan were brainstorming what would be great online games. There were a few wild suggestions until they stumbled on a cross between the latest online craze, Wordle, and the old classic memory game, Mastermind.

Tristan went off and, together with Reid, produced Woodle

As with Mastermind, the goal is to work out the hidden code (in this case a word) in as few attempts as possible.

Once you have entered a valid word, the game will indicate how many letters were correct and in the right place (green), as well as how many are in the word but not in the right place (orange).

The player can logically work out the secret hidden word by evaluating the feedback given to them across all the words they have guessed.
